What to expect
Community organising is an essential component of making significant change happen in our society. It is not just about asking enough people to turn-up at a time and place to protest for change or agaists the current situation. In simple terms, community organising is about bringing likeminded people together to present a clear and united voice for change.
Facilitated by Friends of the Earth this session will provide understanding of the what, when, why, and how of community organising. Hands on activities and real world examples will reinforce the knowledge content to provide skills that can be applied to your project or campaign ideas.
What to bring
This will be an indoor event, please bring;
- Laptop or tablet (there will be power points available for charging devices)
- pen and paper
Afternoon tea will be provided
