Come along and find out more about the Hume Enviro Champions two-day introduction course and the various support available for your community project.
The course will provide you with an opportunity to develop your project ideas or environmental passions to create change with your community, for a healthier and more sustainable environment.
This course is tailored to people who live, work, study or volunteer in Hume and would like to take action towards better environmental or sustainability outcomes in their community or beyond.
What will you learn?
Over the two days, support will be provided to understand how the Hume Enviro Champions program can build your capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate an environmental or sustainability project in your community and beyond.
In a fun and supportive environment you will learn about:
- How the 2025 Hume Enviro Champions program can support your enviro passion project with easier access and tailored workshops.
- Likeminded community members , Council staff and the projects or programs they run.
- Designing your project to take action and make a difference.
- Aligning projects with Council plans and strategic objectives for greater levels of support.
- The new process to apply for support from Council for a community environmental or sustainability project.
Who can attend?
- This course is tailored to people who live, work, volunteer or study in Hume.
- People with a passion to improve environmental community change.
- People 16 year of age and older.
Please make sure if you register that you can attend both Saturdays of the course on 15 and 22 February 2025 at Broadmeadows.
Catering will be provided for morning tea and lunch on both days of the course.
Please complete the dietary requirements section of the registration to ensure your needs are covered on the day.
