Mental Health First Aid

Homestead Community & Learning Centre is running a Standard Mental Health First Aid training for our community members in Hume. The course is free but you will have to complete 2 days of the training. The workshop will help you to learn how to assist adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves. You can complete the short assessment at the end of the training to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider). Accreditations are valid for 3 years.
