Welcome to a quick wrap up of key items that were discussed at our Council Meeting on Monday 23 October 2023. 

1. Hume City Council Annual Report 2022/23

Council has endorsed its Annual Report for 2022/23 which includes details of our financial performance, governance, management, and general operations. By 30 June 2023, Council had completed 36 of the 45 Council Plan actions reported on in 2022/23.

2. Local Area Traffic Management Studies

Council has made the decision to undertake Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) studies in Craigieburn Town Centre and Sunbury North in the 2024/25 financial year. Council is required to undertake two LATM studies in every financial year with an aim to improve safety and residential amenity in local streets on an area wide approach.

3. Residential Nature Strip Policy Review

Council has endorsed our Draft Residential Nature Strip Policy, which is now open for Community Consultation via Participate Hume. The Draft Nature Strip Policy outlines the management, maintenance and governance of residential nature strips in Hume City.
