Join us from 7pm at Hume Global Learning Centre Sunbury on Thursday 13 April for a Floor Talk from original stage-manager and roadie to the Sunbury Rock Festival, Adrian Anderson.
Adrian will be joined in conversation with Ian Braybrook, Castlemaine Radio broadcaster and author, to discuss all things music, gigs, and roadies.
Phil Manning, member of legendary Australian band, Chain, will also be joining us to perform some classic hits.
Adrian's current exhibition, Heavy Lifting: vintage rock t-shirts & roadie reunions, captures a portion of the stories and t-shirts Adrian has collected during his years on the road, bringing together two of his key passions, t-shirts and the well-being of his colleagues.
Through the exhibition, Adrian offers an insight into the life of roadies as the often-overlooked backbone of the music industry. Spawned in the 1970’s, this selection highlights decades of his life spent backstage, and on the road in an industry that relies on the expertise, innovation and labour of countless faceless people.
This is a free event, and we encourage you to register your interest to secure your spot.
