Welcome to a quick wrap up of three key decisions that were made by Council on Monday 10 July 2023. 

1. Helping Hume's young athletes shine

We’re again assisting Hume City’s young athletes and their families to participate in sport at elite levels. Council proudly awarded funding to 18 applicants as a part of our Sport Aid Grants Program.

2. Smarter investments 

We adopted a new policy to guide certain Council staff on where Council can invest funds. This will help ensure there is return on Council’s investments and will reduce unnecessary risk.

3. Naming of Joe Sullivan Reserve

After community consultation, we endorsed the naming of 39 Flagstaff Loop Craigieburn as Joe Sullivan Reserve. The naming is in memory of the late Mr. Sullivan, who had a great contribution to the Craigieburn area.  

The proposal will now be send to the Registrar of Geographic Names for their consideration and approval.
