Hume City Council’s annual Galleries Exhibition Program is returning in 2025, and we’re looking for local artists and creatives to show their very own exhibition in one of our public gallery spaces.

We know there are creators in every corner of our community that have a message to share through their art, and we want to help them make their mark with a dedicated exhibition.

The annual program encourages everyone, from established artists to up-and-coming creators, to submit an application for their chance to share their work with the Hume community.

We’re looking for diverse ideas including exhibitions, performances, or even workshops that represent the diversity that is Hume City.

It’s also a great opportunity to meet and connect with other local artists to gain valuable experience in designing, creating and promoting their art.

Each successful artist will be given a 12-week residence at one of our three local gallery locations:

  • Town Hall Broadmeadows Gallery, Broadmeadows

  • Gee Lee-Wik Doleen Gallery, Hume Global Learning Centre – Craigieburn

  • Sunbury Gallery, Hume Global Learning Centre – Sunbury

The program is open to:

  • Hume based artists

  • Hume community groups, including heritage groups wanting to tell local stories in creative ways

  • Artists from outside Hume or propose projects that engage local community members in developing the cultural life of the municipality.

Applications are now open until Sunday 8 December, 11.59pm
