Anzac Day is Friday 25 April. Find out below how you can commemorate Anzac Day locally and view the changes to our Council operating hours.
Local services
Anzac Day gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in defence of our nation, and those who continue to serve today. Join us in honouring their contribution this Anzac Day by attending local commemoration services in Hume City. All services on Friday 25 April unless otherwise stated.
Craigieburn services
- Dawn Service 5.45am for a 6am start
- Morning Service 9.45 am for a 10am start
- Craigieburn War Memorial, Northeast quadrant of Anzac Park

Westmeadows service
- Dawn Service 5.45am for a 6am start
- Westmeadows War Memorial, Raleigh Street
- Conducted by the Tullapark Scouts
Bulla service
- Morning Service 8.30am
- Bulla War Memorial (Old Shire Offices), Bulla Road
- Conducted by Bulla Garden Club
Sunbury services
Thursday 24 April
- Sunbury Anzac Youth Vigil

Friday 25 April

- March: 9.50am (starting from the post office area on Evans Street)

We thank the members of the Sunbury RSL Sub-branch, The Craigieburn War Memorial and Remembrance Committee, the Tullapark Scouts and the Bulla Garden Club, for the organisation of these local events that provide our community with the opportunity to commemorate, remember, acknowledge and honour our veterans, those currently in service and the Anzac spirit.
Make an Anzac Poppy with Hume Libraries
Join Hume Libraries in making a red poppy to commemorate Anzac Day. All ages are welcome at these free events.
Sunbury Library

Please note some of our services are changing on Anzac Day Friday 25 April.
Customer Service Centres will be closed. You can still report issues online or via the Snap Send Solve app, and contact our after-hours service on 9205 2200 if there is an emergency.
Leisure Centres will be will be open with reduced hours from 1pm – 5pm. Visit Leisure's website to find out more.
Waste collection. Your bin will not be collected on Anzac Day. Due to this, kerbside bin collections on Friday will be pushed back by one day. If your bin is due to be collected on Friday it will be collected on Saturday. Check your bin day here.
Tips/Resource Recovery Centres will be closed.
Hume Libraries will be closed. If you need to make a return, you can do so via the after-hours return chutes at the Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Sunbury libraries.
Hume Global Learning Centres will be closed.
Youth Centres will be closed.
Community Centres will be closed.
Maternal and Child Health and Early Years services will be closed.
