Celebrate community at Australia Day in the Park 2025

Hume City Council will host Australia Day in the Park 2025, a free, family-friendly event celebrating community connection and diversity.
Join us at the Village Green, Sunbury, on Sunday, 26 January, from 4 pm to 6 pm for an afternoon filled with live performances, face painting, a sausage sizzle, an ice cream cart, and a bubble party for the kids.
As part of this year’s celebrations, 165 new citizens will be welcomed at the Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, marking an important milestone in their journey.
These new citizens bring unique stories and experiences, further enriching Hume City — a proudly diverse and multicultural community where residents speak 155 languages and represent 170 countries.
