Throughout the year, a range of grants are available to individuals and organisations through Hume City Council, State and Federal Governments, State and National Sporting Associations, as well as other profit and non-profit organisations.

These grants support initiatives related to sport and active participation, training and education, and infrastructure development.

Sports Aid grants Program (SAGP)

The Sports Aid Grant Program (SAGP) is designed to encourage young people aged 24 years and under in Hume City to participate in sports and physical activities through financial support. 

Our Sports Elite grant provides financial support to cover participation costs for young athletes while the Sports Play grant encourages individual community members who are facing financial hardship to be more active in the community.

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program (Sport and Recreation Victoria)

Community sport and active recreation organisations across Victoria can apply for funding to replace or repair essential sport or first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed in unpreventable incidents, including natural disasters, arson or criminal damage.

Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program (Sport & Recreation Victoria)

The Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program provides grants to assist Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals, buy sports uniforms and equipment, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions.

The Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program funds community level initiatives that enable participation, build capability and celebrate the role of women and girls in community sport and active recreation.
