Born out of VicHealth's This Girl Can initiative, Hume This Girl Can is celebrating everyday Hume women getting active however, wherever and whenever they choose.
What is Hume This Girl Can?
Hume This Girl Can encourages local sporting clubs, gyms, and fitness providers to host free or low-cost activities, workshops, and educational sessions tailored specifically for women and girls throughout November. These programs could be one-time events or be a part of an ongoing program.
What is the focus?
- Engage women and girls, especially beginners or those returning to physical activity for the first time.
- Collaborate with local clubs, associations, gyms, leisure centers, personal trainers, and studios that offer programs for women and girls.
What are the programs taking place?
Swimming/Aquatics
Women’s Only Swim Night- Broadmeadows
Where: Broadmeadows Aquatic & Leisure Centre (BALC). 41-85 Tanderrum Way, Broadmeadows VIC 3047
When: Sundays at 5.30 – 8pm (Note: doors close @ 7:30pm)
Cost: $10.90* per person (Members and NonMembers)
Ages: All ages and boys under 5 years are permitted
Extra Info: Covers Swim, Spa, Steam and Sauna. Access to Warm Water, Learn to Swim and Leisure Pools
Women’s Only Swim Night- Craigieburn
Where: SPLASH Aqua Park & Leisure Centre, 60 Central Park Avenue, Craigieburn VIC 3064
When: Sundays at 5.30 – 8pm (Note: doors close @ 7:30pm)
Cost: $10.90* per person (Members and NonMembers)
Ages: Participants must be 15 years and over. No children allowed
Extra Info: Covers Swim, Spa, Steam and Sauna. Access to Warm Water, Learn to Swim and Leisure Pools
