The Babies in Hume Program is a free, fun, interactive support and education program for all Hume families enrolled in the Maternal and Child Health Service. This is a great opportunity for you to gain information relevant to your baby’s/toddler’s developing needs. Come along, meet other parents, share experiences, discuss topics of interest, ask questions and have some fun!

Babies In Hume first time parents’ program

For babies four months and under includes:

  • communication with your baby
  • sleep needs of your baby
  • early nutritional needs of your baby
  • lifestyle changes and self care
  • importance of play in the developing infant
  • baby massage
  • keeping your baby safe
  • infant CPR
  • sleep and the older baby

Parent information sessions

We also host online and face to face information sessions, covering topic such as sleep and settling, communication, introducing solids, age-appropriate diets, safety in and around the home, toileting, and play, learning and development.
