How to test for COVID
Rapid antigen tests (RATs) are the easiest way to test for COVID-19. You should test for COVID-19 using a rapid antigen test:
- if you have COVID-19 symptoms (even if they are mild)
- if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19
- before visiting an aged care facility, disability care facility or a hospital
- before visiting people with a disability, elderly people, or people at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness.
Council is proud to have provided our community with free Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) through the Victorian Government funded distribution program. As this initiative has now concluded, we want to express our gratitude for your participation and support.
Please note that free RATs are no longer available at Hume City Council locations as the program has formally completed, and stocks have been depleted.
Thank you for your understanding and continued commitment to keeping our community safe.
