The Hume Interfaith Network welcomes faith leaders and community members to join the Executive Team or to be part of the broader Hume Interfaith Network. Please complete an Expression of Interest and Hume Council’s Multicultural Community Development Officer will be in touch.

You can also request a hard copy of the expression of interest.

There is no closing date, however we encourage that you complete it as soon as possible as there are limited spots (4 vacancies as of April 2024) on the Executive Team.

Hume City’s religious diversity strengthens and enriches community life and supports the well-being of the residents in Hume City.

In recognition of the religious diversity and the importance of spiritual life, Council has invited the Hume Interfaith Network to open Council meetings.

The Blessings Book is a collection of prayers offered by our faith and community leaders at Council meetings.

Some blessings are translated into community languages, reflecting the spoken language of members within that faith community.

The Hume Interfaith Network often has a range of events running throughout the year. You can find any active ones listed here.

The Faith Communities Council of Victoria (FCCV) publishes an annual multi-faith calendar which lists the major holy days and festivals for Baha'i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism and Sikhism. Whilst this list is not exhaustive, it is comprehensive to represent each of the religions in good faith.
