Transformations and Beginnings: Hume Anthology 2025

Hume-Anthology-2024.jpg

The Hume Youth Anthology is an annual published collection of creative works from young people in Hume City.

Young people ages 6-24 are invited to submit a creative art piece reflecting a shared theme, this could be a poem, a photograph, short story, drawing or anything creative.

The Anthology was inspired by the voices of Hume’s young people, and it is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate their creative talents.

The theme for the 2025 Hume Youth Anthology is Transformations and Beginnings.

Submissions will be chosen to be showcased in a printed Anthology, and the community will vote for the Best Creative Award Categories:

  • Best creative piece - 6 – 11-year-olds
  • Best creative piece - 12 – 18-year-olds
  • Best creative piece - 19 – 24-year-olds
  • Community favourite (all ages)

The Hume Mayor also awards a submission with the ‘Mayor’s Choice Award’ and the piece of work chosen will be displayed as the front cover of the 2025 printed Anthology.

All Award winners will be given a $250 voucher to Deans art supplies to further their creative talents.
