Mesmerising Moments is and invitation to be spellbound by the dance of colours on water and to share in the enchanting effect of this mystical dance.

Flowers have their own unique language that echoes rhythm, beauty, passion, wisdom, peace, heartfelt sorrow and desire. Since ancient times flowers have accompanied many occasions to express ideas and feelings that can’t always be captured in words.

Through the Turkish marbling art of Ebru, Oznur combines contemporary ideas with strong traditional techniques to harness the expressive qualities of flowers. As with many decorative art forms, Oznur uses floral patterns to build unseen connections and develop communication between oneself and others. For Oznur each flower has a voice of its own that speaks to individuals with a unique spiritual language.

Oznur’s solo exhibition invites the local community to build connection through the beautiful and therapeutic art of Ebru. The exhibition also showcases a video work made for the 2023 Hume Winter lights Festival.

Ebru Marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble. Ebru technique involves sprinkling coloured paint onto the surface of an Ebru bath then carefully laying paper over it, the floating picture on top is then readily transferred onto the paper. Part of Ebru’s appeal is that each print is a unique monotype.
