Safe Spaces - Makani Art Project

In the Arabic language, “Makani” translates to "My Space”. Makani Art Program started in 2023 at Arabic Welfare Inc. This program involves young artists aged 15-25 who worked on “Safe Spaces”. The exhibition aims to explore the concept of safe spaces from the perspective of newly arrived young artists and tries to capture what rebuilding spaces and reformulating safety after the experience of wars and displacement looks like for young people.
