Talking in Pictures – Shay Downer and students

Sunbury-based artist Shay Downer runs art classes locally (and online). This exhibition featured Shay's work alongside artists who participated in her classes throughout the tumultuous 2021 period. The exhibition consisted of works that were in response to the Covid-19 lockdowns and included individual and collaborative group artworks

Shay Downer is a previous Hume Arts Award recipient. Her public artwork Muliebrity was acquired into the Hume Civic Collection as part of the 'Sunbury Cultural Commissions' project and is currently on display in the Sunbury Global Learning Centre.
