The Jefferson Grid by Helen Fraser
Helen Fraser’s finely detailed compositions are inspired by her encounter with the Jefferson Grid - an agricultural area surveyed in early nineteenth century mid -west America, now commonly referred to as ‘the dust bowl’.
The quilts, embroideries and drawings on show reflect a range of themes – from personal identity and history to the evolving story of humanity’s interaction with the landscape.
