Tulsa Drive Reserve

‘These artworks are part of my ‘Under One Sky’ Series. They were created in response to my work as a psychologist in the pandemic. I have chosen the artwork titled ‘Under One Sky’ for the Tulsa site because I love the sense of this being a community hub.
There are teachers, child care workers, doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, naturopaths, chiropractors and community workers all supporting the local community from this small centre, all under the one sky and connected by a common purpose. The black trees speak to the ironbark trees in the Goonawarra Primary School yard behind the site as well as the trees I was surrounded by in my childhood growing up in the Whipstick Forest.
The earthy colours relate to Australian native bushland and the circles represent our sense of connection as well as the school values of generosity, responsibility, enthusiasm, ambition and trustworthiness. I love the idea that my artwork will be inspiring healers, teachers and carers so they can support children, their parents, families, the ill, vulnerable and elderly.’ - Helen Fraser
