Hume’s annual Youth Anthology showcases artworks by young people aged 6-24 years who live, study or work in the municipality. Each year young people are invited to submit a drawing, poem, short story, comic or photograph reflecting a shared theme of which the works are published in a collection.
This year’s theme is ‘Heritage and Diversity,’ and celebrates the experiences of young people and representing what ‘Heritage and Diversity’ means to them and their lived experience in Hume.
For the first time, the creative works will be presented in an exhibition at the Gee Lee-Wik Doleen Gallery, Craigieburn. The exhibition will feature the submissions including the Mayor Award as well as finalists chosen from a community vote in accordance to the age and categories listed below:
- Best creative piece: 6–11-year-olds
- Best creative piece: 12 – 18-year-olds

The Hume Youth Anthology exhibition has been inspired by Hume’s youth to showcase the creative talents and skills of young people in our municipality.
