People & Places showcases the unique perspectives of seven local artists who take a broad range of approaches including painting, linocut and photography, to dynamically explore themes of identity and represent the world around us.

This exhibition presents stories of journey, survival and refuge, intimacy and beauty, weaving together disparate landscapes with lived experiences, using creativity to evoke a deeper understanding of self and place. 

The featured artists in this exhibition reflect the cultural diversity of Hume, a community that encompasses a wide range of backgrounds, including Germany, Somalia, South Africa, Syria and England.

People & Places is a celebration of the rich diversity and a testament to the thriving creative talent that resides in our municipality.

This exhibition is being shown in conjunction with Mesmerising Moments, by Öznur Ateş.
