Major Event Participation
Applications for Hume City Council’s 2024/2025 Major Events season are now closed.
We thank all vendors, performers and stallholders who applied for Hume Carols by Candlelight 2024, Craigieburn Festival 2025 and Hume Winter Lights Festival 2025. We select a variety of participants to ensure our events and festivals are colourful, diverse and attractive to locals and visitors coming to Hume. Major Event Applications will reopen in late July 2025.
Hume Carols by Candlelight 2024
To be held on Saturday 7 December 2024 at Craigieburn Anzac Park.
Carols is one of the highlights in our community, with a program of entertainment including children’s performers, live music, food vendors and pre-event activities.
This free community event has previously attracted approximately 10,000 attendees (weather dependent) and runs from 5pm-9.30pm. (Carols start at 7pm).
Applications closed on 15 September 2024 11.59pm.
Craigieburn Festival 2025
To be held on Saturday 1 March 2025 at Craigieburn Anzac Park.
This long-running festival is well-known in our community and includes a program focused on family attractions including live performances, interactive workshops, free children’s activities, stalls, food vendors, art show, fireworks and more.
This free community event has previously attracted approximately 15,000-20,000 attendees (weather dependent) and runs from 12pm-9.30pm.
Applications closed on 15 December 2024 11.59pm.
Hume Winter Lights Festival 2025
To be held on Saturday 21 June 2025 at Town Hall Broadmeadows and Outdoor Precinct.
Returning in it’s third iteration, this festival celebrates all things music, art, lights and visual. Open to all ages, this free community event has previously attracted approximately 4,000 attendees (weather dependent) and runs from 5pm-10pm.
Applications for food and drink vendors, alcohol vendors closed on 7 March 2025 11.59pm.
