We’ve built the Kalkallo Community Centre to provide new places for community groups to meet.

What we've done

The Kalkallo Community Centre includes:

  • consulting rooms for maternal and child health services and specialist services

  • flexible multipurpose community and activity meeting spaces

  • preschool and learning spaces

  • customer service/reception areas

  • administration/staff facilities and associated ancillary facilities.

The facility is supported by 55 on site car parking spaces, including accessible (disabled) car spaces. The adjacent Kalkallo Recreation Reserve car park will provide a further 155 car parking spaces.

Why we did it

Kalkallo is a young and growing community, and the Kalkallo Community Centre provides a permanent space to house a broad range of services for the growing community in Kalkallo.

When was it complete?

Construction was completed in August 2021.

Partnerships

This project was delivered by Hume City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.
