We've built the Kalkallo Recreation Reserve to provide new spaces for sport to thrive.
What we've done
After much anticipation we are excited to announce that the Kalkallo Recreation Reserve is now open!
This $13 million sporting facility will provide residents with an opportunity to participate in a great range of sports, locally. Local residents can stay fit and healthy with:
- two playing fields for cricket and football
- cricket nets
- volleyball court
- basketball half courts
- pavilion
- BBQ area
- playground
- tennis courts
- outdoor fitness stations.
Why we did it
This recreation precinct provides a new and diverse open space to support grassroot sports and improve the health and wellbeing of the community.
When it was completed
Construction was complete in May 2022.
Partnerships
Kalkallo Recreation Reserve was delivered in partnership between Hume City Council and Stockland. In addition, the pavilion was delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government under the Growing Suburbs Fund.
