Roxburgh Park Drive Duplication
- Project statusComplete
- Project value$6 million
- Completion date30 November 2020
We're upgrading Roxburgh Park Drive so more people can get to where they need to go safer, faster and more reliably.
What we’re doing
We’re adding extra lanes across a 1.6-kilometre section of road between Donald Cameron Drive and James Mirams Drive.
The project includes a duplication of the road, construction of new pavement and centre median islands, a new bridge, intersections, kerb and channel, shared paths, bus stops and drainage.
The work will be delivered in stages to minimise disruption, and most of it will be done without the need to stop existing traffic flow.
Why we’re doing it
Roxburgh Park Drive is an important local road that’s used by more than 19,000 vehicles each day.
It’s a critical link that connects residents to and from shopping precincts, community centres, schools and public transport, and through to Aitken Boulevard, Bridgewater Road and Somerton Road.
We’re upgrading the road to help cut the commute of those who use it now and cater for the increase in demand expected over the next ten years.
When it’ll be finished
Works are currently underway and due to be completed by the end of 2020.
