Lost Dogs Home

Lost and stray cats and dogs that Council officers collect are taken to the Lost Dogs Home. They will keep the animals for at least the required 8 days while trying to find their owners. Photos of the animals are placed on the Lost Dogs Home website so owners can search for their missing pet. Cats and dogs that are not claimed will spend time with vets and and behaviourists who will assess their medical health and behavioural needs. Many unclaimed animals will be suitable for rehoming through their adoption program whilst other cats and dogs may require time in foster care.
