We’re upgrading and expanding Greenvale Recreation Reserve to support the needs of our growing community.

What we're doing

Hume City Council is upgrading and expanding facilities at the Greenvale Recreation Reserve to support the community to get outdoors and involved in sport locally. These works will provide more spaces for the local community to get active and engage in local sport as well as provide facilities to support high level sport.

These projects include:

  • indoor cricket hub
  • sports oval four
  • car park, landscaping and services upgrade
  • new carpark and access road to the Greenvale Equestrian Centre

Why we're doing it

Greenvale Recreation Reserve is the largest and most diverse sporting and recreation open space area servicing the Greenvale Community.

The sporting facilities currently include:

  • three sports ovals
  • five cricket practice nets
  • a turf practice wicket area
  • nine tennis courts
  • three equestrian sand arenas
  • an equestrian course

With significant residential development in Hume City, the population of Greenvale is projected to exceed 26,000 people - our facilities need to be expanded and upgraded to meet increasing demands and needs.
