Project Summary

From mid-April 2025, we will be undertaking road reconstruction works along Oaklands Road. The works will cover a total distance of 447 meters between 365 and 395 Oaklands Roads, Oaklands Junction. 

Why are we doing these works?

These works are critical in providing necessary pavement upgrades, drainage and safety infrastructure improvements.  

 The works will provide many benefits to the community and residents, including: 

  • New road design life 

  • Better ride quality 

  • Improved safety for travelling 

What to expect:

While these works are in progress, please be aware of the following impacts and we encourage you to plan ahead:

  • Oaklands Road (between Craigieburn Road and Somerton Road) will be closed throughout the duration of these works
  • Detours will be in place through Craigieburn Road, Mickleham Road and Somerton Road
  • Works will occur during daytime hours
  • Works are expected to be completed late June 2025, weather permitting

We encourage you to plan your journey and allow additional travel time. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while we complete these important road upgrades.
