Hume Charitable Fund

The Hume Charitable Fund (HCF) is a Sub-Fund account of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation (LMCF) and was established in 2004 to support and distribute funds to charities in Hume City. Hume-Charitable-Fund.png

The HCF is a perpetual fund. The earnings on the principal are distributed to charities in Hume, to assist them in carrying out projects that benefit the Hume community. 

The HCF seeks donations from Hume residents, businesses, service clubs and other donors, to increase the investment fund. Your donation to the HCF directly supports some of our most vulnerable community members across Hume and assists local charitable organisations to continue to deliver support and welfare services to those who need it most.

The LMCF is an independent, not-for-profit community foundation that has been supporting charities across the Melbourne metropolitan area since 1923. The LMCF and HCF can accept donations and bequests, and all donations over $2 are tax-deductible. 

Annual Grant Distributions 

The LMCF currently manages around $255m which it invests and the income generated from those investments is distributed to sub-funds to support local charities provide direct support to local community’s.  The HCF is a sub-fund which distributes funding in the form of grants to eligible charities to support them deliver specific programs.
