We've built the Kalkallo North Community Centre to provide a local space for the community to receive services and meet.

This community centre provides a permanent space to house a broad range of services for the growing community in Kalkallo.

Landscaping works will commence in August 2024 to deliver open space which will complement the newly built centre and allow users to extend activities outdoors in a safe and secure environment.

What we're doing

The completed Kalkallo North Community Centre offers:

  • consulting rooms for maternal and child health services and specialist services
  • flexible multipurpose community and activity meeting spaces
  • preschool and learning spaces
  • customer service/reception areas
  • administration/staff facilities and associated ancillary facilities.

The stage 2 landscaped open space works will provide:

  • a picnic shelter
  • a public BBQ and seating
  • events lawn space surrounded by trees and landscaped gardens

Why we're doing it

Kalkallo is a young and growing community - one of the fastest growing in Australia - so we're providing a facility that will house the services needed for this community to thrive.

When will it be completed?

Practical construction of the centre was completed in January 2024 and the centre is now open and operational.

Works on the landscaped open space will commence in August 2024 and are scheduled to be completed by 28 February 2025.

Partnerships
